Use of IoT in buildings and homes can be exemplified by technologies that provide convenience such as fire, water, smoke and natural gas sensors, alarm and surveillance systems for home security, lighting system that keeps pace with the ambient conditions, projector, computer and game console systems, media playback system for entertainment, control systems, baby monitoring, temperature adjustment system when you are not at home.

The use of IoT technologies in the industry has a great importance in terms of machine network and control systems, increasing industrial efficiency, and using time correctly. In here, the mission of IoT devices is to help the progress and speed of the business.

For example; the machines can contribute in shortening the process by communicating with each other and exchanging information among themselves.  In the case of the human factor, this process will take longer with the increase in the number of workers and by reporting the operation in the next stage. But today, the devices provide their own control mechanisms by mutual agreement, they need less human power and perform more efficient works in shorter time.

On the other hand, life-facilitating systems such as calling an ambulance, real-time baby monitoring, remote healthcare and vaccine monitoring systems are used in the problems like medical devices, wearable smart devices, emergency notification systems sending notifications to necessary persons or institutions in emergencies, heart attack, etc. 

IoT in Transportation Sector

The transportation and automotive sector, which develops without slowing down, always offer innovations and automation is even more considered. It was also inevitable to have IoT in this sector, which constantly benefits from technological blessings to increase driving experience and safety. Automatic transmission system reveal as innovation which is provided with IoT devices to increase the interaction between the driver and the vehicle, smart parking, traffic monitoring, security, road assistance, unmanned navigation method, emergencies.

IoT in Agriculture Sector

Internet of things is used to follow every step in agriculture and produce high-quality and high-yield products. Internet of things is at stake in many areas such as smart agricultural equipment, smart fields, which aim to increase productivity and shorten the duration. In addition, the food safety system makes it possible to follow the transactions that are consumed.

Using water in agricultural areas should be controlled, since water is always important and should not waste in its consumption. IoT technology also offers the benefit of reporting the condition of the soil as well as providing more space irrigation with less water consumption. Also, devices which show farmers where insects are found and make it easy to find their products, help farmers in the field of agriculture.

IoT in Environment

IoT devices with environmental analysis offer early notification systems such as weather conditions, earthquakes, and in some cases automatic measures. IoT devices, which also examine the issue of air pollution, enable inferences to be made in this regard. In here, IoT manifests itself in areas such as fire and fire detection systems, cloud-based air monitoring system, early warning in natural disaster and precaution systems.

In the coming years, the growth momentum of IoT technology, which is increasingly used in new areas and with increasing intensity, may surprise us. With the start of the Industry 4.0 era, developments in the field of Internet of Things can be much faster.
